In this article, visual artists Kel Ronning and Kikifoxbones reflect on the aesthetic strategies used to communicate science through the visual language of superhero comics – from the glitchy remix aesthetics of Miles Morales (Spider-Man) to the intentionally exaggerated and visually implausible ‘scientific’ moments often found in DC Comics.
